My curiosity about the Moon's cycles arose when she stood me up a while ago, which I found quite amusing. On the night of the full Moon I climbed up a mountain to see her rise but she never showed up. I was in a National Park in the desert unprepared to return in the dark so I had to leave without seeing her emerge at the horizon.

Leaving with a mixture of humility and confusion, I realized how little I understood about the Moon's patterns, prompting me to delve deeper into her rhythms. Now, I comprehend the reasons for its absence that night!

On the Full Moon, the Moon rises at the same time that the Sun is setting. The Moon stays all night in the sky and hides when the Sun rises. It is almost like the two are playing hide and seek with each other.
